New Store Opens at The Shoppes at Miller’s

For 95 years, Miller’s Smorgasbord has been on Lincoln Highway – even before the transcontinental Lincoln Highway became Route 30! Over time, the property has expanded from truck repair, gas station and restaurant to including various stores and, of course, Miller’s Bakery. The Shoppes at Miller’s is excited to announce a new store, Anna’s Gifts & Sundries.

Anna’s Gifts & Sundries

The store is named after Miller’s Smorgasbord founder, Anna Miller. In 1929, Anna’s husband Enos opened a truck repair, and Anna offered PA Dutch specialties like her homemade chicken and waffles to those who came in. Over time, the restaurant surpassed the gas station and truck repair business. Initially, Anna’s Gifts & Sundries will offer many items available in the Miller’s Lobby Gift Shop, including jewelry, apparel, and bath items, gradually adding more Lancaster County-flavored home décor. The store is located next to Locally Made Food Shop, which focuses on Lancaster County-made food items. This allows guests to create gift baskets with items from both stores, designing the perfect gift for family and friends.

Grand Opening Celebration

On February 6 at 4:30PM, there will be a Grand Opening celebration and ribbon cutting at Anna’s Gifts & Sundries. Attendees will enjoy special offers for Smokehouse BBQ & Brews, Miller’s Smorgasbord, Locally Made Food Shop, and Anna’s Gifts & Sundries. Additionally, there will be a drawing for a special The Shoppes at Miller’s Gift Basket. Guests can also sample local foods featured in Locally Made. The ribbon-cutting, led by the Lancaster Chamber, will take place at 4:45 PM after a brief statement by CEO Tom Neely. On that day, The Quilt Shop at Miller’s and Ruthie’s will extend their hours to 6 PM, providing ample shopping opportunities. Moreover, Miller’s Smorgasbord has reopened with new bathrooms, and guests can sneak a peek at the new lobby renovations.

“The Thomas E. Strauss, Inc. family of businesses is pleased to continue to bring new and interesting opportunities to Lancaster County.  The addition of this gift shop is another step in our journey of bringing new engaging venues for locals and our tourism visitors alike. We look forward to having everyone out to see the new store,” said Tom Neely, CEO of Thomas E. Strauss, Inc.
